Public Interest Litigation
Public interest litigation is a core part of Legal Awareness Trust’s mission to address systemic injustice. We file and support legal actions that serve the greater good, particularly to help secure the release of innocent individuals wrongfully imprisoned due to lack of access to legal resources or abuse of power. A significant focus of our efforts is on supporting innocent women and children who are often overlooked and unjustly detained, ensuring their cases are heard and their rights are protected. These initiatives aim to create legal precedents, influence policy reform, and promote accountability within the justice system. By standing for those without a voice, we seek to transform the law into a true tool for equity and change.
