As part of its ongoing commitment to public safety and community welfare, the Legal Awareness Trust (LAT) has launched an initiative to cover open and uncovered manholes across vulnerable areas, addressing a serious and often overlooked hazard for pedestrians.
Open manholes pose a grave risk, particularly to children, elderly citizens, and unaware passersby, leading to preventable injuries and, in some cases, loss of life. Recognizing this urgent threat, LAT has taken proactive steps by installing durable manhole covers, ensuring safer streets and walkways for the community.
This initiative reflects LAT’s belief that access to safety is a fundamental right. By securing these hazardous openings, LAT aims to prevent accidents, protect lives, and promote a culture of responsibility and care within society.
Each manhole covered represents more than infrastructure, it represents protection, prevention, and respect for human life. Through this effort, LAT continues to translate awareness into action, safeguarding communities one step at a time.
We extend our gratitude to our volunteers and supporters who made this initiative possible. Together, we are building safer neighborhoods and a more responsible society.
